The mom tapes, 1974-1978 [videorecording] / by Ilene & Elaine Segalove. [1978]

This video art piece chronicles the interaction between Ilene Segalove and her mother, Elaine. Half scripted, and half documentary, the piece shows the realtionship between mother and daughter during the years 1974-1978. The various segments that make up the mom tapes are ironically witty, self-satirizing skits about personal and mundane aspects of everyday life, including Elaine's empty-nest existance in her overly-spacious Beverly Hills home.
